Beginning Sat., March 17 and running through Tues., March 20, MERA KnowledgeFest once again proved to be an essential event for mobile enhancement retailers and the specialty chain of distribution.
The Town Meeting set the stage for the 2007 event, which drew attendees from as far away as Hawaii, Washington, New Hampshire, and South Florida. The program began with a panel discussion by industry manufacturers on the topic of consumer advertising. MERA President Bob Graham addressed the audience members, urging them to have the "Desire to Win." Andy Oxenhorn, president, JL Audio, delivered the keynote speech, encouraging retailers to reach out to their reps and their manufacturers and “ask for help,” to effect a true partnership.

With renowned industry speakers and panelists, MERA’s workshops delivered a wealth of information for retail owners, sales staff and installers, as well as manufacturers representatives.
The exhibit area was open Sunday and Monday, with 88 manufacturers and industry affiliates showing their latest and greatest products and resources for retailers. And the exhibits were bigger and better than ever.
From the Town Meeting to the Peer Power Lounge and select workshops, attendees learned of MERA’s recommended "Tried and Trusted Methods" … a sharing of best practices focused on getting back to the basics and capitalizing on the business and marketing approaches that have proven successful time and again.
MERA KnowledgeFest 2007 attendees were also the first to see MERA’s March 2007 Industry Forecast compilation. In the Town Meeting, Vice President Barry Vogel, urged attendees to not only pick up a copy, but to also read it thoroughly and use the information for the good of their business.
