Executive Summary
KnowledgeFest 2013 will take place on Sunday, August 17th through Tuesday the 20th at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Center in Dallas, Texas. The event focuses on three distinct areas of in-vehicle electronics: traditional mobile electronics, connected car technologies and driver safety. The goal is to show and educate the industry on all things related to in-vehicle electronics while having fun and enjoying quality networking.
The Event
KnowledgeFest 2013 will highlight a 75,000 square foot exhibit area aptly named the “Mobile Electronics Show.” This will include up to 25,000 square feet of exhibits. The exhibits will focus on showing new and existing products to increase retailer awareness of and educate them on products that are ready to sell and will be available in the near future. All three days will provide a mixture of exhibit hall networking and informative education tracks. Additionally, we offer manufacturer training sessions.
The traditional KnowledgeFest conference is dedicated to education and is separated into three elements, or tracks, and will be held throughout most of the event. These are Installer, Sales and Manager/Owner tracks. Educational tracks generally will include general industry, business, sales and installation topics. Installation track seminars are given by industry leaders and representatives from manufacturers. Sales track seminars generally include representatives from manufacturers, successful retails sales representatives and noted personalities teaching the art of professional sales techniques. Manager/Owner track seminars are taught by leading accomplished industry professionals as well as subject matter experts from outside the industry.
In general, industry experts will be asked to share their tips on topics that represent specialty retailer’s and our industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities. In addition, Manufacturers will be conducting product training on the latest products just in time for the 2013 holiday selling season. This is manufacturer-sponsored education that seeks to educate attendees on specific products for both sales and technical.
